Team Party Follow up
Good Morning,
I hope that your family had a great time at our party last night. It was by far our biggest party in team history. I believe that most of our swimmers really enjoyed the swim, food, and awards. I believe our coaches did a great job at recognizing our swimmers. It does take a little while when you have over 150 swimmers and they have had a great season.
We did get a call from the City Pool manager this morning. She was upset about a few things that happened. She mentioned that some of our party were disrespectful to the lifeguards and soft drinks being thrown on concrete as well as poured into the pool. I apologized and assured her that we would not allow this type of behavior from our swimmers/their families again. We have a nice relationship with the city and without them (and the pool/lifeguards), there is no way to have our team. There are no other pool options in Livingston. Next year, we will have to set out more rules and guidelines to ensure that we don't have problems like this again. Please send me a private email if there is anything you think the board needs to know about the party or any other situations. We will do our best to fix it. "It takes a village."
I don't want a few problems at the party to cloud what a great season we had. I love my Sea Lions family. And though, it is a tremendous amount of work, I can't imagine life without swim. I hope you love it as much as I do. Be sure to look for "Returning Swimmer" information around January. We hope to do early registration for returning families as well as ordering suits/jammers earlier this year.
Until next year....
